I reeived e-mail saying my e-mail won UK lottery. What does ya-hoo have to do with this?

Please ignore that. All these type of scam making your days bad. Nothing to do with Yahoo or Hotmail. All those craps spreaded by virus or unkwon person.

I reeived e-mail saying my e-mail won UK lottery. What does ya-hoo have to do with this?
Delete the Email. You are a scam target. Be aware, if you haven't entered the lottery in the UK and provided your email address (which they don't ask for) then you didn't win.

Sorry.

Also watch out for similar scams from Africa/ South America/ Mexico/ Asia.
Reply:Yahoo has NOTHING to do with this. They only forward mails sent to your account. You should NEVER give out your address to anyone you don't know. These kinds of messages are sent out by the MILLIONS. You should NOT open ANY e-mail unless it's from someone you know. Just opening a e-mail lets the sender know it's an active address. And BTW, yahoo is still a free service.
Reply:i know exactly what you mean. It has ahappened to me its a scam. the person asks for your info incl your passport number and asks to pay like $500 for "transfeering fee"
Reply:spam or a virus or even scam

if you dont want any email from this person anymore here

Reply:This is PURE SPAM, dont even open those emails so they cant infect your computer. They are all phony requests, usually are from Nigeria. If you cooperate with them at all, your bank account may have no money in it. They are looking for all your passwords. Somehow, they got hold of your yahoo email addy. You might report them to Yahoo, but often they are international and are not bound by the laws in the USA (if that is where you are from). I got all forms of scams once I signed up for freebies and there was no way to get rid of them until I got a new email. All sorts of scams out there. A sucker born every minute. One cannot get through life without being a sucker at least one time.
Reply:when you receive an email like that just delete it and do not open it, it is spam, and or a virus. If i was you I would close out that email and create a new one with a new email and password.
Reply:Nothing, except your spam blocker doesn't seem to be doing its job. Does the e-mail also promise to enlarge various body parts? No? You'll be getting that one next.
Reply:Nothing. It is just a phishing scam.
Reply:Probably a scam--nothing to do with yahoo at all.
Reply:THIS IS A SCAM.............DO NOT REPLY........................
Reply:I had the same problem. Report the email as spam ASAP.

Then contact yahoo about it.
Reply:Nothing. It is a scam. Someone is using Yahoo's name to try to trick you into giving them either money or information that will allow them to steal your money.
Reply:Nothing what so ever! Be carefull with e-mails like that. It's a Big Internet Scam, with people in other countries trying to get your persoanl info in order to steal your identity and get credit in YOUR NAME, and mess you up for what could be the rest of your life. Talk to to Consumer Board and they'll tell you what to do, or if you can, Block that address from accessing your e-mail address. BEWARE!!
Reply:its probably a scam or a virus
Reply:absolutly nothing..its a scam to get your personal info so that someone can steal your identity..if you had really won something like this you would be contacted over the phone or through the mail..not online
Reply:Not a thing. It's a phish (scam) email. Don't answer it and don't give them any info. They're identity thieves.
Reply:just sent it to thrash
Reply:Its SPAM, and you should report it to yahoo using the SPAM button on your email screen.

I also get offers from widows and orphans in Africa.
